Cardiff Queen Street / Caerdydd Heol y Frenhines

Did you know there’s no direct rail link between Cardiff Central and Cardiff Bay? Myself and Hedgie didn’t, so when we found out that to get to Central from Bay we’d have to change trains, I was ready and waiting to get our third Cardiff station pupped. As we got off the train we realised that we had just enough time to get the photo in before our connecting train arrived, so we worked fast to get the shot in a reasonably quiet part of the station where the public wouldn’t get in the way of the shot. Not a hard task, but finding a sign not caked in bird poo was harder than you’d think. Once the photo was taken, we had just enough time to jump on the Sprinter that would take us back to Central and onwards to home. The last day of May was a day of great pupping, a smattering of bad weather, but good exercise for my sciatica-ridden leg. It was also the prelude for our grand Wales adventure, but that was coming in July and we still had a lot of June to go first – and I still had some time off work…
