An adventure begins. Following some organisation on Telegram, a group of pups formed a plan to go and visit a request stop. That stop was Lympstone Commando. I had the fortune of being part of that group, along with Echo – who likes joining me on these jaunts as they’re a good day out and about to places that wouldn’t normally be visited. However, to get to Commando, there would be train changes as we had no direct line. This was a good chance to capture another couple of stations along the way. So we set off from home on the Portsmouth to Cardiff service and trundle up to our first change at Westbury. We had a few minutes while we waiting for our connecting train, so Westbury was added to the collection. We then hopped on to our train (a class 43 HST, no less) on to our next change and the meeting point for the rest of the pups.
