TigerTails Gaming Streams: MicroMachines 2: Turbo Tournament

It’s another Retro Friday and Xavier wanted to pop back to the 16bit era for some hot racing action. So TK joins for some Micro Machines battles. Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament, no less. A game TK used to be very good at, and one Xavier hasn’t really played much. Will TK’s memories be able to best Xavier, or will beginner’s luck beat TK? Tune in to find out.

It’s another Retro Friday as Xavier attempts to get through the classic Sega Megadrive (or Genesis if you’re from the Americas) game of Golden Axe. This was the game that was meant to be played last week, but Streets of Rage 4 kinda got in the way. So better late than never, Golden Axe gets its time.

Join Xavier as he tries a live run through of Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition on the Sega Megadrive. Playing arcade mode on the standard difficulty setting. He’s given the benefit of a 6 button pad, at least, because TK is nice and only buys 6 button pads for his Megadrive.

TigerTails Gaming plays: Streets of Rage 2 – Episode 5

TK and Xavier are back for more retro Long Play gaming, and this time they are playing another classic game from the MegaDrive era, Streets of Rage 2!

In this episode, somehow the duo are on a boat. We don’t ask how this happens, and just roll with it – because where else would you end up after a baseball stadium and underground fighting ring. TK not only has to guide Axle through the army of fighters looking to kill him, but also fight against the machinations of Xavier, who may or may not be working alongside Mr. X. Will they make it all the way to Stage 8 and defeat Mr. X? Watch and see.

TK and Xavier are back for more retro Long Play gaming, and this time they are playing another classic game from the MegaDrive era, Streets of Rage 2!

In this episode, a trip through a baseball stadium triggers a conversation about lift sections, and what the name of the genre of the game is. All the culminates in a fight in an underground wrestling ring… A perfectly normal day. Will they make it all the way to Stage 8 and defeat Mr. X? Watch and see.

In this episode, it’s the third stage and with no lives lost, the pair guide Axle and Blaze through a thug infested theme park and do battle against “Blanka on an off day” – Zamza! Will they make it all the way to Stage 8 and defeat Mr. X? Watch and see.

In this episode, Xavier bemoans this stage as it contain the bikers, which he finds rather troublesome to deal with. TK, on the other hand, really doesn’t mind. Though with Xavier ahead on points he’ll have his work cut out to try and catch up. Will they make it all the way to Stage 8 and defeat Mr. X? Watch and see.

TK and Xavier are back for more retro Long Play gaming, and this time they are playing another classic game from the MegaDrive era, Streets of Rage 2!

In this episode, TK establishs the rules of the series as Xavier hasn’t played this before, and yet somehow manages to get to grips with things rather quickly. With controllers that doesn’t always behave, the duo battle against the hordes of foes that intend on causing harm. Will they make it all the way to Stage 8 and defeat Mr. X? Watch and see.

TigerTails Gaming plays: ToeJam & Earl – Episode 5

Join Xavier and TK as they take on another Sega Megadrive classic. Having crash landed on Earth, alien duo from Funkotron ToeJam and his buddy Earl must find all 10 pieces of their rocketship before blasting off back home. On the way, they’ll encounter all manner of Earthlings and hazards as they embark on their epic journey – and sadly all they’ve got to help them is the combined “skill” of Xavier (playing as ToeJam) and TK (playing as Earl).

In this episode, the quest to find all 10 pieces of the rocketship and escape back to Funkotron reaches its conclusion, but with Earl almost dead, it doesn’t look like the duo will make it together. Watch TK have issues with bees, Xavier encounter more mad scientists than he would like, and see if they both manage to escape Earth, or die trying.
