Going to various places on a hunt of railways stations without researching first means you never quite know what you’re going to find. Admittedly, there was a little research done on Lymington Town in order to find the nearest pub, but I knew nothing about the station itself. What I found came as a little bit of a surprise. The station still used the old BR Southern Region totem signs (like the logo for this site, though the site uses the BR Western Region colours). Of all the stations visited so far, all the signs have been updated with the usual company branding, so to see throwbacks to the old British Railways was a little surprising. As the light was rapidly failing us, we found a well lit sign and managed to get the photo. Lymington Town: Captured. We then went to the pub near the station to have a good meal before getting the train home. A lovely evening out.<\/p>\n
