Par

The first 3 letter station that has been pupped. Took us long enough, didn’t it? On our way to the beach via Par station, following a little stop at St Austell, Echo, Sparky, Hedgie, and I eventually reached Par and were treated to a lovely sight. Par is a great little station with some classic design in its architecture and a real branch line feel. Not only that, but a Class 66 arrived running light engine. It sat for a while at the station while the crew chatted with the staff at the signal box. A perfect atmosphere. We were quick to get our photo at the sign at the end of the platform as it was placed at an odd angle, facing the concrete of the platforms rather than a running line. This gave us a nice backdrop of a bridge in the distance. Quaint would be an understatement. I took many photos of the station, but was soon being dragged away as the beach was calling and time was starting to go against us. Still, first 3 letter station done. Only a few more to go.
