When visiting the Mid-Hants Watercress Line with Pink Puppy Echo and a gentleman named Matt, we knew that the end of the line connected up to the National Rail network at Alton. A perfect chance to grab another station. As it was a Gala day, we knew that getting pup shots on the steam railway itself was going to be impossible due to the number of people getting in the way of the signs, so we focused on having a good day out instead. However, once we got to Alton we made the dash over to the Network Rail side and quickly added another station to the collection. We then spent some time in the car park having a vape, only to misjudge how long it would take to get back to the Mid Hants Railway side and promptly miss our return train. However, the gift shop had the fridge magnet totems I’ve been collecting, and we were able to get a brake van ride while we waited for the next train. So missing the train wasn’t such a bad thing after all. The rain tried to ruin the day, but we’re British and some bad weather can’t stop us. A lovely steam railway and one we shall return to – and probably add to the collection. Even though heritage railways aren’t technically part of the project. I guess the Alton to Brookwood branch will also have to be added one day as well. That should be fun, it’s a nice line. [Update 14/09/2019: I was right, it is a nice line, and has now been pupped.]
