The penultimate station of our great tour of the Island Line took us to the engineering hub of the network. Ryde St Johns Road station was a place that made me whip out my camera and take many photos for the railway pups group on Telegram. Not only was the sunlight giving me fantastic shots of the footbridge, the depot, and everything else on the station, but I could take photos of all of the things. So many things to photograph. Plus there were 3 platforms! 3 of them! What is this madness? It didn’t matter, we had signs to photograph. We took a selection, of some amusing poses and a few normal ones. I then noticed the sun and had to get an angle that showed a nice puppy shadow on the wall. Once the photos were taken, we sat and waited for our train to our final station. While waiting we got a chance to do some people watching, including a gentleman taking his pet garden fork for a walk, as you do. Before long, our train arrived and we were soon making our way past Ryde Esplanade and on to the end of the line.
