Something that helps capture stations for Pup All The Stations is the ability to break your journey. Depending on ticket type, you can get off at a station that is along the route you’re travelling. This is especially true for off-peak tickets, which allows a degree of freedom during travel. As Tubbs and I returned from Eastleigh, we decided to take advantage of being able to break our journey and capture a location I had travelled through a lot, but never stopped at – Southampton Airport (Parkway). The station is far closer to the airport than I had ever realised, and after getting the photos, we watched planes take off and land from the comfort of the platform. Our return train happened to be a nice Cross Country train, and we had splashed out on First Class tickets (worth doing on short journeys as the price isn’t so hyper-inflated) so we got to enjoy their First Class service, which is a step up from South Western Railway’s.
