With Shanklin done, and the train missed, the great Isle of Wight adventure continued by car while we played Chase the Express to Lake station. Parking up in front of a row of houses (filled by judging eyes as we grabbed our bits) we fetched the gear out of the car and walked up to the platform. This was an awkward station, as the signs were quite low, and the platform very narrow. Thankfully, Echo had brought his selfie stick with him, so we got into position (being thankful of the empty platform) and got our photo. We then decided to start the zig-zag pattern so bundled back into the car to bypass the next station in the timetable and jump ahead. For what was meant to be a day on the trains, a lot of driving was taking place. There was plenty of time to fix that though.
