The promise of the pub is a wonderful motivator. Especially when it comes to moving puppies to stations for photographs. So when a trip to the stations of Dean and Mottisfont & Dunbridge was mooted to Tubbs, a promise of a chilled beer was enough to complete the line from Southampton to Westbury. So tickets were duly purchased and soon we were on our way to the middle of nowhere. Dean station was nice, with a sign from the Network Southeast era of BR (pre privatisation). However, the fun of Pup All The Stations was going out and exploring, and wow what a sight greeted us. A lovely stream gently trickling through the village green, with a sign on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border that demanded it also be pupped. After some exploring, it was time to return to the station to catch the train back the way we came. There was a break in the journey to come, and liquid refreshments to consume.
