Journeying home from Weymouth in First Class, because we could, Hedgie and I found the position of our coach in just the right spot to nab a couple of “on-the-train” shots to capture some of the remaining stations. This is Hamworthy. A better blog post will be put up when we visit this station properly.

With a day of glorious sunshine predicted, and Echo with a new car to get used to, the two of us decided to do a quick run to update the photo for Hamworthy and get a photo for Holton Heath, thus completing the line from Weymouth to Micheldever. So we went for a drive, to photograph railway stations… That’s how it works, right? It was a rather nice little station, though, with a wonderful station building. So I’m quite glad we went. This is one of the things I love about doing Pup All The Stations – all of the things you see when going about and about. The railway has some good examples of timeless architecture and it is well worth tracking it down and marvelling that buildings that have lasted over 100 years in some cases are not only still standing, but are sometimes in better condition than when they were new.
