Twickenham

With one station down on our little three station mission, Shades and I patiently waited at Virginia Water for our train to Twickenham. I was yet to visit any stations on the Ascot line and Twickenham was about as far out as we could go within our time constraints. Our train arrived and it seemed today was going to be a day of travelling on 450 class Desiro units, as we’d gotten one in to Virginia Water and now we were getting one out of it again. A few moments later, we were pulling into Twickenham station.

We found a nice sign with a local train in the background and got the shots, with the sun shining into my eyes. We then had a look over the station as we waited for our next train. It’s certainly a station I shall have to come back to in order to get more photos, as there seems to be some disused platforms to look for, but as our trains were in the island platform, we had no need to go hunting. Grabbing some food seemed like a good idea, so with a little over ten minutes to go, we did a dash to the shops outside the station got some nibbles to eat on the journey home, snubbing the on platform vendor of food in favour of the larger version of the shop next to the station. We got back in time to get our train and head on to our final station of the adventure.
